The short version

2 Tailwind collects no personal data. Everything you save stays in your own browser. Nothing is ever sent to any server operated by Sveltify LLC or any third party.

1. Who we are

2 Tailwind is a Chrome browser extension developed and maintained by Sveltify LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how the extension handles your information.

2. Data we do not collect

2 Tailwind does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or share any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or any account information
  • The designs you hover, inspect, lock, or copy
  • The computed CSS styles mapped to Tailwind classes
  • The URLs or page titles of pages you visit
  • Browsing history or activity
  • Device identifiers or IP addresses
  • Any analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics

3. Where your data is stored

All captured blocks, mapped Tailwind CSS classes, tags, and configurations are stored exclusively in your browser using Chrome's built-in IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local APIs. This data:

  • Never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or sync it using Gist Sync
  • Is never accessible to Sveltify LLC
  • Can be fully deleted by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data

4. Permissions explained

2 Tailwind requests the following Chrome permissions, each used solely to deliver core functionality:

  • activeTab — to retrieve computed element CSS styles and HTML trees on the page you explicitly inspect
  • storage — to save your preferences and GitHub Gist sync credentials locally in Chrome's storage namespace
  • sidePanel — to display your mapped element library in Chrome's built-in side panel
  • contextMenus — to provide a right-click "Inspect with 2 Tailwind" shortcut on web elements
  • webNavigation — to coordinate element picker states across active tabs during page transition
  • Access to all sites (<all_urls>) — the content script runs on pages you visit solely to highlight element boundaries on hover; it does not read page content beyond what you hover or lock

5. Third-party services

2 Tailwind does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The extension contains no remote code — all JavaScript is bundled locally at build time. When Gist Sync is configured, the extension communicates directly and securely with GitHub's REST API.

6. Children's privacy

2 Tailwind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a future version (for example, when new sync features are added), the updated policy will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
